ChrW to Character Code - Find Symbol

I am looking for a character symbol

i have the Chrw(8300) from the macro recorder


I just dont know what the character code is??

Insert > Symbol

Each one has a character code

what would ChrW(8300) be as the Character Code or do i need to convert this?

That's the 'Inhibit Arabic Form Shaping' character. Decimal 8300 converts to Hex 206C, and the Insert Symbol dialogue will show it as Unicode 206C

yes this elusive character doesnt want to show up on the insert symbol

Im sure that isnt the correct symbol

Your won't see the correct symbol with Font (normal text) selected. All you actually have there is Unicode 206. Try it with Times New Roman instead.

I found it eventually the symbol - its like a white space character hidden in plain sight - so not very obviously transparent :grinhalo:
