Open Com port and send a number.

First post - I am a kind of a newb to VBA

I am trying to pass a number via USB/Com port3 to an Ardino micro controller.
I have looked everywhere but cant seem to find any info on serial comunication on VBA.
Always refered to VB code that does not work.

I just want to open the com port, send a decimal number and close it.

I actally did this a year ago but no longer have access to the machine with the VBA code,

Any help would be much apreceated.
