Foreign Language Characters

I have foreign words that I would like to search and from time to time enter in the continuous list in column A. My problem is how these characters like: ć, č, ž etc. can be easily entered and searched through the list? Sometimes I am searching for the whole word and sometimes just parts, like "uže" which would return "Služenje". Any help appreciated.
