Is there is any way to find week day from date.
E.g. =wday(01-Jan-2006)
which will give result to Sunday

There is a WEEKDAY function which returns a number (by default, Sunday = 1, etc.) but a beter way to do is just to format the date ...

=TEXT("01-Jan-2006","dddd") returns "Sunday"
