.vcf format details

I am trying to write an application to synchronize my Palm PDA with a custom Access DB that contains "name and address" stuff. The Palm Desktop software has bugs in its .csv, .txt and .dat export/import processes. Data exports from Palm OK, but on import, Palm switches data element meanings. I have communicated this to Palm with detailed examples, but (as you might guess), they are not very interested in solving the problem.:banghead: So, I am now trying to do this using .vcf files because the format uses "labels". I have figured out 95% of the .vcf file format (not too hard), but there are a few things that are apparently not used explicitly by Palm and the Palm generated file has "placeholders".

So, can anyone direct me to something that defines the .vcf format(s). Palm is apparently using Vcard Version 2.1
