Hi,

I have a file which is a type of a questionaire. A user can access the file and give answers of all the questions.

Now the problem is:

1). There is a time limit to complete the quiz, however time will only update when user click on next or previous button. I want there must be a running timer on the form.

2). There are 2 sheets which is actually a database for the project. I can hide the sheet and protect with password but still there are utilities and macros which can unprotect the sheets. User can see the sheet. I want that these sheets should not be unprotected at any cost without my permission.

3). I want to show the window on top of all application.

If anyone have a solution, kindly let me know.

Thanks and Regards
Manish Rajpal

Manish, welcome to VBAX.

In future, if you are going to cross post, please link to the other forum. It's not fair to have volunteers on several boards all working independantly of each other, and possibly wasting their time working on an already answered question.

Post at JMT (http://www.puremis.net/excel/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1137638656)

Thanks,

He is a cross-posting freak who totally ignores all requests to mitigate his mania.

Yes, he seems to be in need of instant gratification. I havent looked into resolving the issue, because I imagine others are. Not to be disrespectful or anything,...

Actually, I was new to VB Forums and I thought that everyone who help to a web forum is different. That's y i posted on every popupal forum. I never had a mean to post for instant reply.

And that what u said that i m not replying for your post just because i was not receiving mail notification. I when i received mail notification, I reply with mail.

Also, I posted all cross post on the same day and after that day, i never tried to cross post again.

I think you can understand what i mean to say.

Thanks and Regards

Manish,

We have been asking you not to cross-post on ExcelG and ExcelL for weeks now, and you ignore these requests, and continue to do so. I for one have you on a black-list and will not respond to your requests for help, as do many others at the Excel List Servers. We do this as a free service in our own time, and there is nothing more frustrating than to take time to answer a reply, only to find the poster has been cross-posting, and the question was answered before we ever got to it. I even disagree with Zack, putting a link is not good enough as it means we have to do the work to check. IMO you should start at one, and move on if and when no solution arises. In 99% of cases, any of the boards will supply the answer, it is only tricky or major pieces that require fishing for an answer.

Anyway, your refusal to answer at Excel List Server has done you for me.

I do not want to go in black-list. Kindly let me know, what should i do now.

I can only speak personally, but I will watch for modified behaviour. If it changes, I will try and help in future.

My advice, fwiw, is this:

Find one forum and stick with it, preferably a very busy one so you reach a bigger audience. If you don't get a satisfactory answer in a reasonable amount of time (days, not hours), then

-Maybe post in another forum with your issue (1 or 2 other forums, not 20)
-Include a link to your original post
-Make it very obvious that you have not got an answer to your question and are looking for more experts
-Ask people to post their replies in the original forum

Also, when it is solved, go back and mark it as such in all forums so that we're not chasing solved issues.

Also, fwiw, my opinion is not a formal board policy or necessarily representative of anyone else here, just simply that: My opinion.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I'll not post any cross posting now onward and will wait for a sufficient time for the reply.
