Shared Mailbox - Creating Rules

We have a shared mailbox and someone would like to create rules to have certain subject lines automatically save to a folder in the shared mailbox. My understanding is this rule would only apply to the computer of the person who set up the rule. Would I need to export the rule to each person who has access?
