Hey,everyone here,how can I insert special footnotes like [1],[2],[3] automatically?
In my thesis, the footnotes should be formatted like [1],[2],[3]....
but in word, it cannot be inserted automatically? How can I do?

I don't believe you can do this automatically as you enter them. The best thing to do is to enter them normally and let Word number them, then when you have finished writing them all, do a global change ...

Hit Ctrl+H
Find ^f
Replace with [^&]
Hit Replace All
