Is it me or is this forum much quieter than it used to be?

If the Main Street is this forum and guns blazing are the VBA issues then I'm all for it.

Just think this forum used to be a little higher on the Google search when looking for forums with the search "excel forum" Could be a factor? I have no clue really :dunno

Not just you.

I've been thinking that for awhile now.

Not sure why

I use the New Posts" feature so I see every new post from all Forums. a decade ago there were 40 to 80 new posts daily, now it is between 4 and 8 new posts across the entire site.

In the last 11 days only 4 old timers have posted.

I have pretty much moved to reddit.com/r/excel/, where I can basically snipe at one or two posts as I please. They run around 100 posts per day on just Excel. Their VBA forum sux with only 4 posts in the last 24 hrs.

I only brought it up as i am 'CheeseSandwich' on ExcelForum and it is busy there.

The best answer i can come up with is:

When (most) people want help in Excel (even VBA) they look for a forum by typing 'Excel forum' into Google, if i do this then VBAX is the 15th result with just about every forum being there first.

VBAX is first when you trpe 'VBA forum' into Google BUT given that quite a lot of people that want help with VBA in Excel won't even know that the language used is VBA I am pretty sure they search for 'Excel help' or 'Excel forum'

That being said i don't know how to move the site up the list on Google, as a guess i would say maybe ££££$$$£££$$

Psst Georgiboy... I have plan to rob the Bank of America. We'll donate to proceeds to the forum and bingo... we will be No.1 in Google. if you take care of the break in procedure, disguises, firearms if required, getaway cars and foreign bank accounts... I'll take care of the after party drinks and entertainment. Paul can be our Public Relations advisor, SamT can handle the VBA procedures for purchases of extremely significant amount of illegal monies, Pascal can be our legal representative if we are required for interviews with legal authorities..... Should be heaps of fun if you dont mind taking a bullet or two to the body.....

I think I should be in charge of the after party - we over here in the UK party from the very top...

Boris leads the way on the international party scene - as long as we can pass it off as a work event it will be fine!

Most of the worlds leaders are nothing short of a joke currently - they all seem to have a personal agenda which has nothing to do with the people they lead...

Don't get me started...
