Hello all,

Need help for replacing :

? , ı ,ğ, ?, ş, ?, ?, Ğ, İ , ?, Ş, ?
by macro or vba.

I usually receive text or word documents created Turkish Character set and I am not able to read or print properly on my system (Win XP English ) Office 2003 English.

Is it possible by running a some kind of rutine will replace those characters to

c, i, g, o, s,u, C,G,I,O,S,U..

Thank you for your help

Hi Ertan,

You will need to do this one character at a time. If you record a macro doing a find and replace and ...

In the Find box, copy the character from the original document.
In the Replace box put your desired replacement.
Hit Replace All

Repeat for each of the characters you want replaced.

The recorded macro should run unchanged. It won't be the most efficient but it should run. if you post the end result, I or someone else can tidy it up.

The reason I say do it yourself - apart from learning - is that I might not get the right characters by cutting and pasting from here and it is best if you use the actual characters in your documents.

If you're really stuck, post a sample document containing the characters.
