Hello,
I'm trying to clean up my inventory. Preferably with a VBA sub.
Duplicate articles are to be summarised.
The list is unsorted and the order must not be changed!
The duplicate entries should be summarised in the first entry, the other entries should be removed.
Thank you for your help

Very nice, thank you.
However, the first entry is deleted. 20 242 834 0 disappears, everything else runs great

Wrong, sorry ... your code is running - I made a mistake when adjusting it to my list, but I don't know where yet
I'll get back to you as soon as I find the error ... or if I still need help ... Thank you first of all
Pivot tables are used for this purpose.

Zu diesem Zweck werden Pivot-Tabellen verwendet.
Danke SNB - aber eine Pivot-Tabelle passt nicht in mein Listenformat

Arnelgp ... I would like to build my table as follows
Column A - empty
Column B - Quantity
Column C - Name
Column D - Identification number
But if I only expand the area, unfortunately, it doesn't work
Thanks SNB - but a pivot table does not fit into my list format
Excuse me ??? List format?

i made a userform.
i just translated it online.
copy the code and the userform to your workbook.
or better copy your data to this workbook.

Thank you Arnelgp ... the possibility to define the area to be sorted individually is generally very nice, but unfortunately unuseable for my purposes ... I have a fixed area of b2:d to be sorted. Unfortunately, I can neither modify your first nor this code myself so that it still works.
Can you customise your first code to the fixed area b2:d?
Thank you again for your efforts so far.

i don't know "why" it will not adopt to your worksheet.
on the userform, you just "select" the range you want to
summarize.
see this video.

There was a misunderstanding - your user form also works for me. It's all good.
But unfortunately not fully automatic. My tables die to be sorted & are sometimes over 10000 rows tall, unfortunately a manual selection is not helpful. It is always the fixed area "B2 : D" that needs to be summarised, so I don't need a choice.

that is easy even for 1M rows, what you need is used "shortcut key".
highlight the first cell then hold Shift-End->Down Arrow.

Okay, thank you ... but that's not what I was looking for.
