For those of you who may have read the thread series in Excel where our two industrious young lads, Jake and Zack have set up a new business in Walkabout Creek. Paul the Accountant had set up a special mechanism to record "Days Off' from work, when as expected it's a normal business day but no income was recorded for the business. Zack is by all accounts a very reasonable person but does have a mischievous streak where it was noticed that he had a tendency to blame Jake for not being at work. Jake on the other hand is very professional, and was actually at work on the days Zack tried to claim he was away.

Jake as often Adults tend to do , thought he's teach Zack a lesson, for throwing him under the bus...... And what a lesson it was.

Pascal the publican had a serious issue with pigeons making a mess on the roof, where the runoff went into the water tank that was used to clean the kitchen and bar. It was a balmy Thursday afternoon when Jake and Pascal arrived at the discussion regarding the pigeons.... Jake seemed overly enthusiastic about catching the pidgeons and eventually talked Pascal into supplying 12 birds. Jake called Zack into the office and suggested that he start an advertising program for the upcoming Rusty bolts campaign. Well said Zack "all is good apart from Auspost being somewhat un-reliable up this way due to weather, road conditions, stage of the tide, cost of fuel, and whether ol' mate gives a damn...". Jake is prepared for this rebuttal, and suggests that Zack use the homing pigeons as the preferred method. Jake also suggests that Zack needs to be "Lawful" by adding a postage stamp to each pigeon used. You are cunningly evil Jake. So there's Zack dabbing each pigeon with a spot of glue and attaching a postal stamp.....

Jake is absolutely elated because the pigeons upon release are simply doing a 10 minute run around the local area and returning to the pub roof, where Pascal catches them and returns them to Jake.
Zack is a little concerned about patches of missing plumage on the homing pigeons, but goes on about his tasks thinking, "oh maybe a hawk attached the bird"..

So until Zack comes to the conclusion that he's being had...., we all get to have a smile at Jake's cunning level of gotcha.

Man if ever these two admins ever get to read this stuff.... I will be relegated from Moderator to sometimes called upon "Orange boy" for the Under 5's netball team.

Well, it sounds like Jake really took "bird mail" to a whole new level! I guess Zack learned the hard way that when it comes to communication, pigeons might not be the most reliable option. Jake's clever scheme certainly gave everyone a good laugh, even if the pigeons ended up a bit worse for wear. Lesson learned: never underestimate the mischievous genius of an office prankster like Jake!

I highly doubt anyone will lay eyes on it, the forum appears to be caught in the grips of a painfully prolonged case of digital hypochondria!
