Hello Experts,

Yes, I know Valentine's gone ...
I have a project that would be carried out beautifully if I can open a Word file from an Excel tab (a worksheet in the spreadsheet).

Pls hold on here -- I know a link would do that easily, but, how can we STORE a Word document from inside an Excel spreadsheet and how can we call it up without using any hyperlink??? This is due to the fact that:
1. most salesmen of ours are working off-line using the spreadsheet mentioned and,
2. we try to stop them from using the Word doc they store in their pc by forcing them to use the current Word doc, if, and only if we can store that current Word doc inside the Excel file that we send them once a month.

Sounds too advanced for me. So any help or work-around tip is so much appreciated,

Nee

Hi Nee,
Have a look at my post #15 here. This is set to delete previous data, but it could easily be saved.

Mr Mackillop,

Thanks for the direction ... I'll explore your spreadsheet there and hope I can
learn some of it. First glance, it is quite advanced to me though.

That item probably does much more than you need. If you can make up a sample of what you're after, I'm sure we can help.
No need for the formality, Regards
Malcolm

Hello Malcolm,

Yes, you are right. I probably wont need so much done for my project.

And thank you much for your generosity, especially this is about VBA!
I'll see if I can pull together a sample.

About formality - just a little taste for Friday afternoon :)
(excuse! I fail"ed" to recall your name .. :( )

No problem, I'm around for an hour or so yet,
and I'm not the only one who can help.
