All of a sudden my VBA no longer works in ANY workbook, old or new ??????

I am on Windows 10 V.1809


Microsoft® Excel® 2019 MSO (Version 2406 Build 16.0.17726.20078) 32-bit


All of a sudden my Macros and VBA do not run in any of my workbooks even simple code.
These are workbooks that I have used for years and some of the new ones I am working on.


I only keep them in a single Trusted Location which is my Desktop.


I have run a deep scan using Bit Defender and it found nothing.'
This machine is hardly online and when it does its behind a firewall and VPN.


In Excel Trust Center Settings "Enable all macros" is checked.


Only two add-ins, Nitro PDF and ASAP utilties and I have used them for years.


I have tried creating a new workbook with a very simple sub but that wont run either.


It is an absolute disaster and I work from home so I simply can not have this.


I have never had an issue like this and I have no idea how to fix this????

Hi Event2020... isn't XL fun somedays? Check the task manager to see if maybe an orphaned XL application is running. HTH, Dave

Trial going to your registry editor, HKey_Currentusers, Software, Microsoft, Office, your office version (ie. 16.0), Excel and see if Resiliency is listed. If it's there select document recovery, and then there will be some numbers listed. You can right click on these and delete them... but I'm not recommending messing with your registry other to state that I have used this process to delete XL files that have errored and saved without any adverse effects. Beyond this, MS office does have some repair feature that I have never used but may be worth the google. Dave

What exactly does that mean? Do they not start at all, error, other? How are you triggering them? What happens if you try to step through them?
