Is there a way to add additional characters to the charmap? I would like to add symbols such as 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, etc. Perhaps they are in there some where, but I haven't found them. Thanks

Hi and welcome to VBAX :hi:

You may find them in an existing font, for example 1/3, 2/3, 1/8, 3/8, 5/8, 7/8 are available in the TTF version of Arial I have, in the number forms subset.
(try typing "215B" then Alt+X to get 1/8)
For most fonts, these charatcer positions are empty and I'm not sure if any are assigned for 1/16, 1/32 etc - I doubt it.

To modify an existing font, you would need an appropriate application (like this (http://www.fontlab.com/Font-tools/TypeTool/)). It's quite a specialist field but I'm sure making a few fractions can't be that tough.

Hope that helps

How about using Microsoft's Private Character Editor to add your own?
For your own use.
It's included with Windows XP, if you have that as your OS.
It's called eudcedit.exe and should be in your Windows XP System32 folder.

HTH,

Marcster.
