Hi folks,

This post is in regards to the recent murder of my friends son (http://www.vbaexpress.com/forum/showthread.php?p=59390)...

I received a very kind PM from one of my friends here, which I'm going to reprint (in part).

I have just seen the addition to your signature and read the link. I am extremely sorry to hear this, ... it's horrible when kids are killed.

What I am writing to say is that I think that you should add a specific message on the Off-Topics forum to push this point. I don't think it is out of line, and even if 100 people only give $5 bucks each it will help.
I find myself lacking words to say it better, so I think I'll leave it at that.

If you can afford to help out in any way, you can make a donation at my site (http://www.excelguru.ca/patrick.htm). Use the button in the middle of the page.

If you would like to pass on any words or sentiments to the family, please feel free to post them at the original VBAX thread here (http://www.vbaexpress.com/forum/showthread.php?p=59390), or send me a PM. All messages will be passed on to the family.

Thanks for any help with this. Both the family and I truly appreciate the support.

I'd like to pass my condolences to Chris and Cheryle. I know how it is to have this happen and it's a horrible, horrible thing. I'll donate what I can. I just buried my adopted grandad Tuesday. The expenses were unreal; and that it was so sudden did not help things. So I know how it feels to be in their position. All the best to you and your friends Ken, you'll all be in my families prayers.

Thanks, Zack. I'll pass that on to them. :)

There really isn't anything one can say when such a dreadful thing happens.

I have PM'd Ken and said, amongst other things, that money is real tight but, you know, there's always someone worse off then you and I have sent $5. I wish I could do more but I'm sure nearly everybody can manage $5 and, as suggested above, collectively it can make a difference.

Tony,

Thank you. I don't know what else to say... there isn't even a smilie with the right flavour here...

Thank you...
