Hi,
When I open Word the paragraph before line spacing is set to 6pt by default. I have looked around and have not been able to find where you set it back to default to 0. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Hi Austen
Open your Normal.dot and change it there. This will probably solve your problem. Personally, I keep this at the same as the font size because I want a space between paragraphs and I hate these superfluous pilcrows.

Hi MD. I hate those pilcrows too. Technically they are a very bad thing, as Word has to parse all attributes of each paragraph (which is what those pilcrows are).
This is why I only use Styles. ALL my paragraph styles have space after built in. Although some have different space that others, and yes, some styles do have space after = 0, for special cases.
Which is also why I NEVER have to mess around with adjusting space after.
Manual formatting....bad dog.
