Hi there

After updating ms word 2002 (3'rd april 2006) I get this error when trying to do a mail-merge (translated into english):
>>>Error: Record in maindocument does not exist in datasource.<<<
And all my mergefields have changed name to AutoMergeField, AutoMergeField1, AutoMergeField2 etc.

The data in each record is still there, but Word can not read them.

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling word - no good.
I have tried creating a new document, linking this to the datasource, - still no good.
I have tried changing the datasource, - guess what :(
So this is my question:

What happened?
Can it be fixed?

Oh boy....uh....you can't get ANYTHING from the datasource?

the data is still there, and if I choose e.g. AutoMergeField3, I get the data that I used to get from Mergefield "VAT", which is correct.
But I would have to do this for each mergedocument (I've got about 40) and for each mergefield and the next time I try merging, I would have to do the same thing again.
I use word 2003 at work without problems. So it must be a Word2002 issue.

The problem is solved.
I thought I'd tried every option.
But this was the solution:
Opening a new document using the mergeletter template and my datasource as source.
This worked - and it seems it also removed whatever stopped Word from working, because when I tried to do a mailmerge from within my application, it suddenly worked again.

So thank you, all, for your time and input.
