Well, it's only 90 here. But it's also only noon here, and 3 pm there, your hottest part of the day. We'll probably climb to around that in 3 hours. And yeah, it's hot! :yes

It's a good thing Jacob posted that site, Dennis. I might have been up all night trying to get a spreadsheet to solve that! But from the looks of it, I may have not have been the only one!! ;)

18.3 degrees Celsius

104 degrees F or ~40 C, but at least the humidity is higher than normal as it is monsoon season. The forecast calls for the humidity to go down this weekend though. :yes

When I posted at 9:26 PM local time it was 97 F ~36.1 C with the expectation of a low near 80 F ~ 26.6 C. But it will be worth it all winter long with no SNOW!

Jacob - Excellent site - thanks :)

I thought the hole of the US was on "Air-Con" :D

Nippy 1c here in Hawkes Bay, NZ (1+32)*1.8 = 59.4F <Correct?

But should the question be, whats the best way to cool down?

Why not ask Google for the conversion:
"96 degrees Fahrenheit in Celsius"

I talked to my brother last night - he lives in northern Minnesota. Last week, they had three nights in the 20's F (highs in the 40's). Nearby, the town of Embarrass, Minnesota had a low of 20 F = -6.7 C.

One of the network news teams interviewed a man from Embarrass about the cool weather. His comment was classic (paraphrased):

"People talk about global warming. They sure didn't let us know about it."

The maple trees are already starting to turn.

A couple trees are starting to turn in Rochester NY, but not so many. It has been an extremely cool and wet summer though, we haven't hit 90f/32.2c since july 4, 2003, and im sure we wont this year (we usually have around 10 days a year i think that do hit that high). Its 68f/20c right now, seems about normal for this year. At least its sunny right now! I just hope this winter isn't like last winter, constant pounding of snow and many many days below 0f/-17.78c
At least no one has to use their A/C this year :P

I also just heard that they compared our weather the past three months to the same time period in Anchorage AK, and 2 of the 3 months Anchorage had a higher average than us!
