View Full Version : Counting Conditional Formats / Colours

Hi

I have a number of sheets with cells that have conditional formatting applied to change the cell colour to either red, amber or green

I want to be able to count the number of reds, ambers and greens within a set range

Regarding conditional formatting, green is always the first condition, amber second and red the third

I have only looked into this briefly but it looks a difficult / complicated one for me

As a sample I am using range P4:P19

Is there a simple solution?

Thanks for any help

Why not just use the conditions from the conditional formatting in a SUMIF?

Hi Norie

The conditional formatting formula in each row is different but with green, amber or red as the result in each case.

The conditional formatting is based on cell values in columns C and D and / or other numbers

I am not sure that SUMIF will work ?

Thanks

What are the actual conditions?

If you can't use them then the only other way I know of doing this would be using VBA.
