Good morning to you again,

I generated a "personal" database in Excel and over time filled it up with all kinds of stuff...meaningful and not so meaningful...

Now, I like to be able to retrieve all dupes within column A cells which exceed character postions 200....

That is, all cells containing less than 200 characters should not be included...

Any hope for me, plaease?!

Thank you and
best regards....

Wolfgang

In an adjacent column, adda a formula of =LEN(A2)>200

Give that column a heading

In another column, replicate that heading in row 1, and add FALSE in row 2

Then do Data>Filter>Advanced Filter using that criterion, coptying to a new location, then clear the formula column.

Hi Wolfgang,

I've marked your thread as solved - normally you can do this through the "Thread Tools" option at the top of the screen, but it's not working at present.
