I have an access 2000 db that wants to be repaired on open. The error states that it might have been shut down imiproperly or it is not a datbase file. Any ideas on how to get back into it?

Have told it to repair it on opening?
Have you tried opening Access (not the database) and then "Compacting and Repairing" the database?
The only chance you have is to open a new database and try and "Import" everything from the damaged datebase in to the new one, if it willallow access to it that is.
