In case you haven't noticed, or didn't read the September newsletter (http://www.vbaexpress.com/news/09-2004/09-2004.htm), you can now "sell" yourself in your profile under the UserCP (http://www.vbaexpress.com/forum/profile.php?do=editprofile).

HTML is enabled---put whatever you like!!
Need help with HTML? Ask! Or have a look here (http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_primary.asp).
Link to your own web/copy your whole home page if you like.
Show off your KB entries.
Include it as a link in your resume/make it your online resume.
Put a link to your member pages in your signature! When you answer questions (at any site), potential customers will immediately find out that you're willing to do project work, and how to reach you.

Want to put your hourly rate? Go ahead!

Want to show off your kids or pets? Go ahead! This isn't just for making money.
Want to include a picture and don't have your own web hosting? Send to me (anne@vbaexpress.com)and I'll upload and send you the links so you can use them (2 or 3 max, please).
Want your photo cropped or two photos combined? Just let me know.
Want your logo? Cool!
NEED a logo? Email me (anne@vbaexpress.com)! We'll make you something!
What do we want? If you get a nice little project out of it, donate a very small percentage to the site. If you can't afford it--don't donate.

Many forums don't allow solicitation--we do! While we don't want you to jump in and offer to fix a line of code for $50, we certainly don't expect that every answer ought to be free. If you see someone posting needing help with an entire project, it's perfectly acceptable to post that you believe they should have posted in the Pay For Answer (http://www.vbaexpress.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=3) area, particularly if it's not one of our *regulars*. Of course, we always like to help each other...

If you have gained any amount of paying work as a result of VBAX, won't you let us know right here in this thread? Nothing elaborate. Don't tell us what you made, but a line or two about the project would be very cool! I'm aware of a couple myself:

smozgur created our KB and we have *sold* its technology to another client
firefytr did a bit of work for someone and then had them donate the funds right to VBAX, which is perfectly acceptable to us (Thanks, Zack!), but not expected at all!
We're aware of someone else in the process of quoting a job.
Just curious if anyone is benefitting financially as a result of VBAX.

Thank you Mark007 (http://www.vbaexpress.com/forum/member.php?u=33) for Member Pages!!
They're sooo cool!!

Hi Anne,

My hat off for both the nice work by Mark as well as for this idea, which I believe is an excellent one :)

Another nice feature, well done Mark.

I've written some drivel, sorry, a mini-autobiography in my profile.

Just thought it might be worth telling people not just that it is HTML enabled but that you must use HTML if you want any formatting at all. It took me a while to work out why my paragraphs were being ignored till I tried <P> tags. Of course it could be me missing the blindingly obvious again.

Thanks Anne for the great idea! Also thanks to Mark for helping me figure out which of my ten thumbs I needed to use to get the formatting down. Sometimes the forest is just not plainly visible for all the damn trees!
