View Full Version : Scrolling via keyboard?

I'd like to get scroll lock to work so that all 4 arrow keys do what God intended them to do when scroll lock is on. (Apparently the tiny brained wiper MS developers - who think THEY'RE God - saw it differently.) My first inclination was use something like On Key or KeyPreview (and maybe a "Shift argument") but Help suggests these are only usable with Forms.

Failing this, I suppose I'll need to use keyboard shortcut macros...with something like ActiveWindow.ScrollColumn (the horizontal scrolling mechanism for Excel's VBA).

Anyone been down this road? :dunno

By the way, the cute mouse scroll (from clicking the middle mouse button) is one weaker alternative - but it's way too "sensitive" in some documents. I didn't see its configuration in Control Panel/Mouse. (Is it mouse-driver specific? I don't see a driver in the system task bar ... though I am running VBScroll). Oh, it's a Microsoft Mouse, as I love that company so much :kiss
