Greetings - not really a VBA question, but I had downloaded and installed office 2007 to tinker with it. The ribbon idea is interesting, and i think i could get used to it...

anyway, I use powerpoint a bit and often embed excel chart objects using the "paste special" option. When I tried to open a ppt containing one of these embedded chart objects powerpoint would crash. nearly all of my presentations have embedded chart objects, so I quickly uninstalled Office 2007. before I did so , i did do some tinkering - for example, if i deleted the chart objects from the presentation, it would open fine. I thought the problem might be related to an add in loading when excel was called up regarding the chart object, but (if i recall correctly) uninstalling the add in didnt help.

ppt would go into some sort of "safe mode" after it locked up for a few minutes.

just wondering if anyone else using ppt 2007 has encountered this, and if it is a bug or something that i'll be able to work around.

THANKS, tim
