how to mirror content in field

Hello!

I am totally new to this and was wondering how it is possible in word to mirror content entered into a text field to appear in another text field further down the page....

For example.. Say somebody enters in a customer reference in the word form, instead of having to retype it, it will appear at other locations on page if the field is set to being a "Customer Ref."

Can't find an example of this anywhere!!

Hi and welcome to VBAX! :hi:

If the field has a bookmark (press ALT+F9 to see the fieldcodes) then you can refer to it by pressing CTRL+F9 (this creates the fieldbracets for a new field) and in the newly created field you type the bookmark name of the field you want to reffer to.

Press ALT+F9 to switch back to regular mode and press F9 (to update the field)

With this method you have a easy Ref field to reffer to another field as many times as you like.
