Hi Malcolm,

I get a "macro not found" message for the forms button but the other works ok...

John :)

I ran Malcolm's file without downloading it and both buttons worked for me but I ran into a situation on the board where I posted a workbook with a userform and a forms button to open it....

without downloading it the button did not work for the person on the board for some reason. Not only that but they said they ran the userform.show macro and the activex button on the form did not work either. All buttons worked correctly if they downloaded the excel file and ran it from their hard drive. Error:

lucas I get 2 errors actually: 1) when I click on the "Form" button I get the following- "attachment.php?attachmentid=3492&d1152898232'!showform' cannot be found." and the form never displays 2) when I run the macro the form comes up and after entering a name and hit Add Info the following error comes up "Run-time error '1004':" "Method 'Range' of object'_Global'failed"

No issue here again, guys. (Wife's PC too)

It's not an admin thing, or John would be having no errors either...

Both work for me as well. Do you think it makes a difference that your browser may need to have ActiveX control downloaded?

if i want to allow Active X Controls to run and i answer Yes.

Any way i still get the:

I get a "macro not found" message for the forms button but the other works ok

I have always had to download xls files to get the macros to work.
