I was wondering How do you choose a specific piece of wordart. I can't find them to be named or anything. I have only found a way to work with it in code if I selected in already.

ok but how do I know which is one and which is two. I have been looking and I can't find any properties or anything that says WordArt 1?

Yeah it says the item with the specified name was not found

The "1" in "WordArt 1" is probably like the "2038" in "Rectangle 2038". It's probably the number of a specific shape that was assigned by Excel when you created it on your sheet. I've done some work on identifying other shapes by name ... I'll look into it.
