In "Home" > "Computer & Files" > "Configuration" you can turn on and off "Script Scanning".

You maybe can turn it off when working with something you know is safe, then turn it back on.

I don't want to get in the middle of a war of mfg. but McAfee failed me several years ago and I have been using Norton since then with no problems.
