Hi,

There's a competition here in Wales on a radio station. It's an impossible question:

What happened eighteen times in 2005?

There have been many wrong answers, but one of the answers - "18 U.S. States effected by hurricanes" was said to be "very close" to the correct answer. - Another similar answer - "hurricanes that hit the U.S" was wrong.

Any of you guys over the pond have any clue?

A panel of 18 UN poverty experts said it was concerned that the poor, especially African-Americans, ?were disadvantaged by the rescue and evacuation plans implemented when Hurricane Katrina hit the United States of America.?

Well, the answer, apparently, was:

18 American states declared a distaster after Hurricane Katrina!

Blast, and I used mdmackillop's answer!
