Installing SQL Server on a Server

Hello,

I have read that when you install SQL Server onto a server you have to do so on the servers console. I have two questions :-

1) Is a server console simply a monitor and keyboard plugged directly into the server

2) Why do you have to install it using the server console. You can have access to the server from any desktop and thus cant you just select the install location when you install it to be the server drive

2- Because then anyone anywhere could install software on the server. Major security breach.
