running excel macro in workbook embedded in PP presentatio

I have an Excel spreadsheet which includes a macro that generates and charts a series of random data. The visual effect of the chart updating is quiet powerful and so I would like to incorporate this into a power point presentation

I know how to embed an excel workbook into a powerpoint presentation, however, I can not figure out to get the macro to run without double-clicking the embedded workbook and executing it from within excel.

Is there any way to run an Excel macro in an embedded workbook from powerpoint without actually double-clicking the object and running?
