Calendar control for Windows and Mac

I am using MS Office 2004 on this MacBook. I want to create a template in MS Word that will at various points use a calendar-control. The calendar-control packaged with Office is an ActiveX control, so cannot be used inside OSX.

Thankfully, BlueCactus has created a 'Win/Mac Scalable Calendar Control,' usable in Windows and OSX. I have experience of simple programming in QBasic and Visual Basic, and have downloaded the code, but am only an amateur programmer, and my work-load in my other career is such that I just cannot find the time to work through all of the programming-details.

Can any kind person that has tried this control just tell me in the very simplest terms what the steps are needed to include it in a Word document ?
