SQL Download

Can anyone give me a brief description of SQL server. Where can I download it?

Any help on this would be kindly appreciated.

SQL Server is a full, enterprise database and management system. It allows the creation of full databases, tables, stored procedures, data management facilities, ETL facilities (SSIS), analysis cubes (SSAS), and reporting facilities (SSRS).

It comes in many flavours, not all of which contain all of the facilities, and most of which are charged for, and can be quite expensive. You can download a 180 day evaluation copy from http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2...-software.aspx

Alternatively, there is a free version which is restricted but still very useful, SQL Server Express - http://www.microsoft.com/express/Database/
