Possible to create a link/macro to copy cell contents into an intranet page in IE?

Basically I have an Excel report linked to a database which when I refresh, it asks me for a unique 8 digit number, and then based on that will return a bunch of data. The unique number is dislayed in column S, from cell S3 downwards.

There is also a page on our intranet which is part of an entirely different system/database. It's a pretty basic page; there's one single search box (where you enter the unique number), and then a search button. The data is displayed in the bottom half. I believe it's an SQL report, although I'm not technical and have virtually zero experience coding, so I can't say for sure.

I'd love to create some kind of link or macro in the Excel report which when clicked, will open the required page in IE and automatically search for that same unique number, but is this even possible?
