Control speed of Windows Media Player from Excel

Excel 2016 :think:

I would like to run a MP3 or similar, from Excel, using WMP. Thats ok for on/off etc, but I would like to use a slider in spreadsheet to control the speed in real time of the video. That is if the slider set at zero the video will be stopped at current view, when slider is moved up the wmp will play/advance at the speed step on the slider, at full slider setting the video will run a normal speed.
The view will be out of front windscreen of a vehicle moving forward, if vehicle is stopped (video linked to actual speed control for a physical r/c type car) , video will stop, if speed increased the video view will show view passing by faster.

If I could be directed to any info that allows above.
