I started VBA after doing some work in Access. I am now looking at excel itself. Have looked at VBA in excel and not so much excel itself. You and Xld have shown me some functions. Can you point me in the direction of a web site or book that explains functions? I have looked at some of the help files in excel however would like some better explenations.

The problem is that Excel is so many things, functions/formulae, charting, pivot tables, filtering, data avalidation, conditional formatting, et al. Any book that attempts the whole range is just scratching the surface, but here are a few web sites on different aspects:

Most of these functions above are driven by, or benefit from, applied formulae. That is the hardest to get, and there is only one book IMO worth anything, and that is Walk's book. Not great IMO, but better than anything else. Formulae is a subject best learned by a good course or mentoring in my view, but a good course is hard to come by.
