Returning the Result of an AutoNum Field

Hi All

Something odd seems to be going on when trying to return the Result of an AutoNum Field as in: Selection.Fields(1).Result. Assuming the first Field in the selected text actually contains an AutoNum Field, rather than getting the result you see on screen (as you'd expect) Word returns a Null String. All the other Fields I tried (I haven't tried them all!) returned the results you would expect.

Does anyone know what's going on? Is a long standing bug?
