Solved: Newsgroups in Outlook (Not Outlook Express)

i have been told that there is no way to receive newsgroup emails through Outlook - that you have to use Outlook Express for them; but when i was in a computer repair shop with a friend of mine, the tech there said there was a way to trick Outlook into accepting SMTP emails. We did not have a chance for him to tell me how, so i thought i would ask here and see if anyone else has heard of this possibility, and if so, if they know how to do it...

As far as I know you can "use" Outlook in this way:

From the Outlook menu go to Views > GoTo > News.
This will open the Outlook Newsreader (which is Outlook Express in drag).
