Running macros invisibly in the background

I have a program that uses template slides that it updates from multiple Excel files. All works great, except the PP templates keep popping up on the screen as well as the chart worksheets used to update the charts in the pp slides. This was great during debugging, but now I want the template slides, their charts, their worksheets, etc to be invisible and stop popping up on the screen. Any suggestions on the best way to do this? Thanks. p.s. I'm using PP 2010.
