    Protect/Unprotect Closed workbook

    Hi,

    i used the code from tstom (http://www.vbaexpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10474) to write in a closed workbook but i can't write if the workbook is protected.. how can i protect and unprotect the closed workbook?? here's the template i'm using..

    Hi gnod,

    If you are using ADO I do not think you can set a password for your file(s). You can with a Workbook.Open command, although that takes considerably longer than querying it with the [back end] connection.
