    Object library not recognized

    Hello all,

I am currently using a macBook and microsoft Office X for Mac. Service release 1. Although I am just now learning about VBA and it's applications with the excel, I have some old spreadsheets that work fine on windows macines and also worked on a previous mac (non intel). They now seem to hang up prior to opening. I get the message that the Object Library is not recognised. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

Howdy, and welcome to the board.

Each computer needs to have the Object Library available. So even though it worked on another Mac computer, you have to make that same Object Library available on this setup. Which Object Library is missing?

Go to the VBE Window, and in the Tools > Reference section, make sure that the Library it needs is checked. Scroll through the list on the left. If you are not sure which one it is, then look at the pre-Intel Mac in the same place and determine which it is, then make sure it is checked on this computer.
