Solved: How to create a drop down list?
I done this before (2-3 Years ago) but I forgot how today.
I want to create a drop down list in cell A5 thru A50 that will allow me to choose from a list of approx 75 name whose names are located in cell A128 thru A211.
On the right end of the active cell there is a down arrow and if clicked the list appears below to allow the use to select any name.
I hope the info I provided is enough.
I am using Excell 2000 9.0 xxxxx

You know you're really in trouble when the light at the end of the tunnel turns out to be the headlight of a train hurtling towards you
The major part of getting the right answer lies in asking the right question...
Made your code more readable, use VBA tags (this automatically inserts [vba] at the start of your code, and [/vba ] at the end of your code) | Help those helping you by marking your thread solved when it is.

Here is what I relearned.
Step 1. Highlight the cell you want the Drop Down list in.
Step 2. Click on DATA then Valadation
Step 3. In the Popup window titled "DATA VALADATION"
Step 4. Under the "allow" option change the value to List.
Step 5. A new option appears titled Source click on the icon in the right side of that block.
Step 6. Highlight the list that is located on this worksheet. then your list works.
Ther are other thing you can do with Data Valadition If you need addition instruction view this web sit brovided by "johnske" above.
