    Open Excel from Word

How do I open or linkto an Excel workbook from a writeprotected Word-dokument? Is it possible?

    Hi Mark,
could you be a little more specific? Do you just wish to open excel alongside of word or do you wish to do something with the workbook when you open it?

    Hi
Thanks for your efforts! I want a link in a Word-dokument that takes me to a specific Excel-workbook (beside the Word-doc). That is no problem, but I need to make the Word-doc protected so that the user can only write to certain fields (controls?). And when I do that, the link also becomes protected .
