Solved: Running two different Excel versions

    Hi all,

I have office 2003, Dutch version installed on my computer.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to have the English version of Excel installed as well, or is that going to give trouble?

Gert, I have no idea of the answer to this myself, but my good friend Ron de Bruin uses a Dutch version, so I asked him. This was his reply ...

I install a English 2003 on a Dutch VPC (Win XP Pro) with a Dutch version of Office 2003. I use another folder to install the English versionI install a English 2003 on a Dutch VPC (Win XP Pro) with a Dutch version of Office 2003. I use another folder to install the English version.

No install problems but if I open the old Excel.exe or the new Excel.exe the Dutch version always opens.

I think a MUI version of Office is the best thing for the OP.

Thanks for looking into this Bob, and thanks to Ron as well.
I once accedently installed an English update of IE on my pc, after
correcting this mistake, for years had a problem that both languages were messed up in IE.
So that's why i'm a bit affraid of trying this with excel.
I think it's worth a try, to go and make a new account in XP and install Excel-En there.

Virtual PC doesn't run on my pc ( XP Home).
Downloaded VMware, installed OS and Office 2003 English.
    It works perfect.
    Thanks again for the advice

    Gert Jan
