That's sort of a vague description of what you need to do. Can you explain a bit more: What is the unique field (a primary key, an email address, or something else)? Is the report supposed to be the body of the email, or does it need to be an attachement? Do you use MS Outlook as your email client, or something else?

Many thanks for your time to look at this

I have Outlook as my mailer - the unique field is Primary Key - the report needs to be as an attachment - the report is based on a query using the primary field

What I have is a dbase used in a problem management situation. the unique field is the reference used to name the problem (numeric). when the dbase is open it is used in a 'form' view for updating each problem when and as required. I have several 'expert domains' that are required at some point to look into the problem, so what have to do is go from the form into the report then mail a copy to each domain. when I click on 'send' the report then attaches itself to an email where i then have to fill in the subject line with "CHKD P######" (###### = Problem number)

If possible what I would like is the have a button on the form that when selected automatically sets the report, attaches it to an email with the subject line completed

I forgot to ask which version of Access you are using.

I posted this question in a different thread before I seen this. I am trying to send an attachment (rtf) but when it gets sent the lines and checkboxes are gone. How can I retian the formatting that is in Access?

I've not looked at his db in any detail, so I have no idea if it needs anything in 2002-2003 format. I converted it anyway. Hope it helps.
