in versions prior to 2007 in order to open the Workbook Code Module all there was to do: right-click the Excel symbol in the upper left corner...
Am I too ignorant to find the equivalent in 2007?!

Wolfgang,
I presume that you have your workbook maximized? If you Restore it so that it isn't maximized, and then right-click the Excel icon at the top left of that workbook, there is a View Code option there.
