For those who follow Macs and software, one of the desires for the iWork integrated program was a spreadsheet capability. That happened with the release of iWork 08 last month. It is not meant to be head-to-head competition with Excel. Thus, many Excel capabilities are not included. Numbers seems to approach spreadsheets in much the same way that Ragtime does with its spreadsheet component.
