Solved: Delete duplicated, tally to make report

Hi. A friend of mine needs some help with this little assignment of his. I can't exactly help him cos I've no idea how this could be done in VBA as well.

"There will be a raw data extracted, let?s say the branches of the banks. So, now whenever I import the raw data into the spreadsheet, I need to rearrange the branches so that there is no repetition of branches in the report and it will accumulate the amount of transaction per branch."

    Can anyone help?

The attached files will give a better view of the initial sheet & the intended look.

There is extensive information on how to accomplish this via the interface here: http://www.mrexcel.com/tip138.shtml
We have an article in our knowledge base on how to do this here:http://vbaexpress.com/kb/getarticle.php?kb_id=520

    • Please Mark your thread "Solved" if you get an acceptable response (under thread tools).
    • Enclose your code in VBA tags then it will be formatted as per the VBIDE to improve readability.

Thank u so much. I didn't realise that the task could be done using the Pivot Table method. Thanks once again.
