    Format Cell in Excel 2000

    Hi friends,
I export the MS Access data in excel and save as type Excel 97-2003. When I open this exported excel file by using the excel 2000, it does not allow me to use the Format cell command. But I use the same file in excel 2003 it allows the format cell command.
Can someone help me to understand why it doesnot allow in Excel 2000 and how I can format cell in Excel 2000.
    Thanks

Are the cells you wish to format selected when you tried to use the Format Cells option? It worked for me when more than one cell was selected.

YES, first i select and use CTRL+1 but it does not show the further format options. Please try using Excel 2000.
